Anti-Tobacco Campaign for Smoke free Public Place & Public Transport:

With the support of "Campaign for Tobacco free Kids, USA" PUP has been working to needful amend and to ensure enforcement of the tobacco control law of Bangladesh to reduce the violation of it. We had been worked as a partner of "Consortium for Smoke free Rajshahi & Rangpur Division - CSFRRD" from 2010 up to 2020 in the districts of Bogura, Gaibandha, Sirajganj & Thakurgaon. Though the project has ended, we are continuing the Anti-Tobacco activities by our own initiatives. Our membership in these "Districts & Sub-district Tobacco Control Task Force Committee" still exists and we have been getting invitations from them to join the meetings whenever they arrange a Taskforce committee meeting. During the project period, we have formed coalitions in each of our working areas with the involvement of civil society representatives, teachers, students, journalists, local government representatives, cultural personnel, youth volunteers, etc. which still exist and we have smooth communication and collaboration with them.
